The book "Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions" was written in 1884 by Edwin Abbott Abbott and revolves around geometric figures in various dimensions.
I chose to focus on geometry. The enjoyment I derived from creating visual representations of the story laid the foundation for my own interpretation of Flatland. To visually represent the story, I learned creative coding through openFrameworks. I collected these images on a website and also integrated them into my book.
The animations are based on one sentence from each chapter. My book includes not only the story, but also images of the animations and the corresponding code. the book is designed based on Xcode, the platform on which I programmed the animations.
